Neale Stratton McGee
Mack

Neale slipped away from Earth's tethers to take his place at the Lord's side on Monday, August 8, 2005. If a man's life on Earth is measured by how much he was loved, he stood high among men.

Born November 18, 1924 in Oklahoma City, he graduated from Classen High School, OCU (B.S., J.D.), and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutger's University.

As his friend, LT Bobby Ross stated, "Neale was a Patriot, a true American Warrior, who fought amongst the Greatest Generation in the Pacific during World War II, and while he witnessed more than any mortal man should ever be called upon to do so, he left a legacy of being a kind, gentle and special human being."

He served in Naval Intelligence and retired as a Lt. Cmdr in 1972. With a career spanning 30 years, Neale was a consummate professional.

Highlights include opening and operating Republic Bank's Mexico City office, and, as CEO and President, of Greenville Avenue Bank & Trust, building their new office building in Dallas. A patriot, poet, professional and world-traveler, ultimately his greatest achievements were as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. We will all miss him.

Survived by his devoted family: Ruth McGee, wife of 59 years; Melanie Browning, Patrick McGee and Valerie McGee, children; Doug Browning, Les McGee and Kevyn McGee, grandchildren, Joseph and Michael Cox, great grandsons, and Kenton McGee, brother, all of Dallas, Texas, and a host of friends, cyberfriends and family around the world.

Interred at DFW National Cemetery, August 12, 2005 with full military honors.

Memorials may be made to the Veteran's Memorial, Texas National Cemetery Foundation, P.O. Box 530869, Grand Prairie, TX 75053-0869.
